- New store offers customers an exclusive
opportunity to experience the company’s product range in
person
- Announcement marks major milestone for
Lotus, as the business scales globally and transforms to an all electric
luxury technology brand
Seoul, South Korea – 17 November 2023 Lotus today has announced the company has opened its
flagship showroom in Dosandae-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
The new store can be found at the heart of one of
Seoul’s most famous streets known for luxury and fashion. It brings together
Lotus’ rich 75-year heritage with the latest technologies to provide customers
with an exclusive and immersive entry point into the Lotus brand in South
Korea.
Spanning across three floors, and almost 720 square
metres space, the showroom features seven Lotus vehicles. It provides consumers
with an opportunity to see and experience the Lotus product range including its
sportscar Emira, and electric hyper-SUV Eletre.
It also offers a VIP lounge and bespoke digital
experience, where customers will be able to personalise their own vehicles.
Consumers will also be able to purchase Lotus merchandise in store.
This is the brand’s first showroom in South Korea,
one of the fastest growing luxury markets in the world. It forms part of Lotus’
strategic business growth plans in Asia, as the company continues to scale
globally - part of its Vision80 strategy to become an all-electric global
luxury technology brand by 2028.
Mike Johnstone, Chief Commercial Officer at Lotus
Group said: “We are passionate about creating spaces that bring the Lotus brand
to life and resonate with local consumers. This new flagship showroom
demonstrates our commitment to just that and offers a bespoke entry point to
our British brand. I look forward to welcoming many more customers into the
Lotus community, as a result.”
The announcement comes on the heels of Lotus’
partnership with local luxury and premium automotive retailer Kolon Mobility
Group (KMG), who are the official importer and sole distributor of Lotus in the
region.
Lotus began taking reservations for both Emira and
Eletre earlier this year and is seeing strong demand for its luxury performance
cars. The company will begin customer deliveries in South Korea in H2 2024.
